Some of our fitters have worked with us for decades, and in doing so, we have built strong, trusted relationships based on high-quality, expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. As part of our tailor-made service, we offer expert fitting to ensure a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish. Below are some of the additional fitting services available for you to choose from.
Save time
Here at Hall's, we only work with fitters we trust, saving you the pressure of finding a good one. By using our fitting service, you have extra reassurance with our Fitting Policy that ensures all contracted fitters rectify or resolve any issues, should they occur. As part of our service, we will deal with and handle the process on your behalf, right through to resolution.
Tailor your service
We fully tailor our service to your preferences and price-points, and our fitting service is no exception. Below, we've listed additional service options for you to choose from. Aside from the laying of your flooring, we can also provide uplift & disposal, furniture removal, subfloor prep and carpet whipping. All additional services must be confirmed prior to fitting.
Aftercare
We want to establish an ongoing relationship with you and have a genuine interest in your happiness. If issues arise, we'll do all we can to help. After time, issues may occur such as carpets coming loose from grippers. These issues can easily be rectified by our fitters, free of charge. If we aren't aware we cannot resolve, so please let us know if there's anything to discuss.
Additional Services
Subfloor Preparation
Where required and for certain flooring options, our expert fitters can undertake subfloor preparation to create a perfectly smooth and level base. This ensures a high-quality finish and helps maximise the longevity and performance of your new flooring. Although we try to assess the quality of the subflooring before fitting, we cannot always ascertain the level of preparation work needed whilst the existing flooring is still in place.
Uplift & Disposal
Before we can begin fitting your brand new flooring, your old one needs uplifting and removing. We offer both these services and costs will be dependant on the level of work involved and the metrage of carpet that needs uplifting and disposing of. These costs will be worked out for your quotation and you can choose to have both services, just one, or neither.
Furniture Removal
All furniture and valuables from the rooms being fit must be removed before the time of fitting. We advise maneavering your furniture into other rooms before our fitters arrive.
We understand at times this may be difficult and in this instance, we can arrange for our fitters to maneuvre furniture on the day. This service must be arranged and confirmed prior to the day of fitting and a 'Furniture Removal Form' must be filled out and signed or it may prevent the fitting from being able to going ahead on the day. Items to be removed must all be listed on the form.
For anyone who may struggle with maneuvering furniture such as disabled or elderly customers, we provide this service completely free of charge. Please let us know and we can assist.
Although our fitters are extremely careful when manoeuvring furniture, at times, there may be accidental damages caused that can at times be very hard to avoid, so please bear this in mind should you decide to use either our services or an external company.
Carpet Whipping
Left over carpet from your new flooring? We can turn this in to entrance matting or even a rug! Carpet whipping is a finishing technique that applies a decorative edge to carpet offcuts or remnants to create custom rugs, runners, entrance mats or stair runners. Border trims come in many colours, patterns and styles.
